Alireza Saremi

Based in Toronto, Alireza is an Iranian-Canadian abstract artist whose practice serves as a conduit for translating internal psychological landscapes into visceral visual forms. His medium and large-scale paintings investigate the delicate friction between chaos and order, capturing raw human emotion, silence, struggle, and existential meaning.

Moving between cultures and geographies, his work carries a distinct global resonance. He has exhibited successfully in solo and group exhibitions across Iran, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. Notably, in 2018, his unique understanding of spatial dynamics led to a prestigious recognition from the Chamber of Turkish Architects for his outstanding artistic collaboration on major architectural and design projects.

In his studio practice, Alireza begins by deliberately relinquishing control. Rather than dictating every outcome, she allows natural forces—gravity, fluid dynamics, and the organic behavior of pigment—to guide the canvas. He views each painting as a living, spontaneous event where meaning is discovered rather than designed. This fluid approach reflects life itself: a constant state of impermanence and shifting boundaries where contrasts find balance.

Nature remains a foundational influence in his work, mirrored in the quiet, unstoppable energy of a river carving through stone. By balancing light, darkness, and heavy tactile textures, Alireza creates immersive spaces that invite the viewer into a state of quiet presence. His paintings offer no fixed answers; instead, they serve as a silent agreement between intention and surrender, inviting an intimate, meditative way of seeing.
