Meet Alireza Saremi
I create abstract paintings as a way to turn inner experiences into visual form—expressing emotion, silence, struggle, and meaning.
VeloraFineArt is where I share my work directly with collectors in Canada and around the world.
In my practice, I begin by letting go of control. I allow natural forces—like gravity, fluid movement, and the behavior of paint—to guide the colors across the canvas. I believe that meaning doesn’t need to be forced; it emerges naturally, in the moment, as the work unfolds.
I see each painting as a living event. Paint, its flow, and movement are active participants in creating the work. I create the conditions, but I don’t dictate every result. Through this collaboration, forms and patterns appear spontaneously—discovered rather than designed.
This approach reflects life itself: always shifting, always changing. I am drawn to impermanence, not as something to resist, but as a source of beauty. In my paintings, change becomes the language of the work. Surfaces become spaces where chaos and order coexist, where contrasts balance, and where unexpected forms emerge from movement.
Nature is a constant influence. I often think of a river cutting through mountains—quiet, patient, and unstoppable. That same effortless energy guides the flow of pigment, letting chance shape patterns just as wind shapes landscapes: naturally, unpredictably, authentically.
Light and darkness also play a key role. Their interaction creates a rhythm that reflects life’s complexity. Within this dance, I search for unity: a sense that opposites can coexist, and that harmony can arise from contrast.
Each painting represents a journey rather than a destination. It is a moment where intention meets surrender—where nature’s impulses and the artist’s hand find a silent agreement. My work does not offer fixed answers. Instead, it invites reflection, presence, and a quieter way of seeing.
